Is facebook planning to hit Yelp and Twitter at the same time?

1) Hashtags

Heavy competition for yelp. If you mention any business or product using hash tags it might get to that particular product/business in future.

Twitter and Yelp on their own had issues with their business model. Put them together and it might become a bigger beast.

I wonder if facebook is trying to pull this off.

Facebook placing itself to hit Google and Apple at the sametime.

Here are the two interesting news from Facebook -
1) Facebook is trying out a technology to trace your cursor.
2) Facebook is in talks with Blackberry to see if it can become a device player.

Now connect the dots.

Currently, Facebook is trying to trace cursor for Ad improvements only within Facebook - But in future, after becoming a device player, (if successful) Facebook might trace cursor whenever you use the device.

But then this is just a smaller shine in a bigger mine - Transition of Facebook into a product company will entirely change the game with closer integration of facebook into a device- fmail, fcalendar, fmovies, fmusic, fstore, fapps etc.
